Obituary
Janet W. Burke, nee Watry, 83 of West Bend, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Bend.
She was born on January 5, 1928 in Milwaukee to the late Peter "Pete" and Magdaline "Lanie" (nee Drydyk) Watry and grew up in Cedarburg. Janet attended St. Mary's Catholic School in South Milwaukee and then attended St. Theresa College in Winona, MN. She later raised her family in Glendale.
She is survived by her four children, Michael (Laura) Burke of Hubertus, Mary Burke of Slinger, Colleen (Eric) Burke-Shore of Onalaska, and Patrick (Henrietta) Burke of Maple Grove, MN; four grandchildren, Katherine (John) Dice, Julie (Kyle) O'Donnell, Erin Burke, and Kevin Burke; her twin sister, Joan Bie of LaJolla, CA; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9401 W. Donges Bay Rd., Mequon. Visitation will be at the cemetery from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
