James F. Hill, 73, passed away on Football Sunday, December 7, 2025. He loved his Green Bay Packers!
James was born on February 10, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI; just a tiny thing weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. However, he grew into a tall, tussle of a bear. Friends and family remember him by many names: Jimmy- BBH-Jimbo- Husband- Dad- Papa, and Gpa.
James was not just a friend, he was family to everyone. His laugh and smile were contagious. You could not help but be drawn to him. He did many things in his life for work. He would always say, “jack of all trades, master of none”. He loved fishing, cooking, and baking, with or for anyone that would eat. James was a firm believer that you should never leave hungry when you came for dinner.
James was preceded in death by his Mom, Arabelle Hill (McKeel), Father, James Hill, sisters: Julie Hill, Mary Hill, Kerry Hill and Laura Hill, his brothers: Charlie Hill and Mark Hill. Also, his wife Debra Hill of 16 years, who kept him in line with a snickers bar.
James leaves behind family and close friends who remember him in their own way.
Diane Hill (former wife of 25 yrs), their children- Jeannine Krezman (Russell), Gregor Hill (Raquel), and Christal Hill (Tony Lewis).
James had step children with Debra, however, they are all his kids. Lisa Shepherd (Tammy Andersen), Jody Luecke-Kultgan (Justin Luecke), and Robert Kultgen III.
His heart was filled with great love for his grandkids and great grandkids.
Grandkids: Elizabeth Kozicke, Steve Steffen (Crystal Steffen), RJ Kultgen, Jesse Hill, Mya Kultgen and Andrew Lewis.
Great grandkids: Zayne Kozicke, Irabell Kozicke, Anastasia Pope and Jasper Huttner
Siblings: Neal Donner (Tiffany), Kim Shackelford (Danny), and Renae Hill.
James had so many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; that would be too many to list. However, they are all part of his love. Always had a tale or story to tell about him, funny or not.
In his final months, he found great happiness in spending more time with a few of them. He had so many plans ahead, and we will always wish we could have seen where they would have led him.
As he wished, there will be no formal service. His only request was to have his children take him home.
Jim hoped to be remembered with love rather than sorrow, each in their own way—and maybe with a Bloody Mary in hand. For any future plans, the family may be contacted directly.
