Herbert L. Timmerman Jr., 82, of Kewaskum, passed away peaceful y at home with his family present.
He was born on February 7, 1933 to the late Herbert and Edna (nee Blumenburg) Timmerman Sr. in Port Washington, WI. Herbert was a hard worker and at age 11 started with two paper routes every morning and evening, through school, Herbert worked on various farms, Smith Bros. Restaurant and the A&P store in Port Washington. In 1953, Herbert was drafted into the Army where he served at Fort Lenard Wood, Missouri as a map instructor. After his discharge in 1955 he was united in marriage to Donna Kolkema at St. John's Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Herbert worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cedar Lake Campus on the 1960's, for the West Bend School District doing maintenance, and finally from 1973 to 1998 at Meadowbrook Manor which he greatly enjoyed helping the elderly apartment residents. Herbert had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed collecting antiques, making doll houses for his grandchildren, polka music, especially the concertina, gardening, and family vacations. Anyone that knew Herbert could count on his lively sense of humor and never taking life too serious. Herbert also had a very deep faith which helped him through his last few months in hospice care.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Donna; four children, Tina (Mark) Thull, Timothy (Sarah) Timmerman, John (Hae) Timmerman, and Scott Timmerman; Seventeen grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Angela, Kathryn, Jeffrey, Thomas, Timothy, Kambranique, Brandon, Jermaine, Natasha, Chantel, Eve, Derek, Zachary, Parker, and Taylor; thirteen great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zach, Mackenzie, Weston, Ryland, Ashlyn, Alexis, Antoine, Alivia, Anthony, Madalyn, Wyatt, and Edin; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patsy Wendtland and Judy Heyden; two brothers, Joel and Terry Timmerman.

Herbert will be laid to rest with a private family service at the Union Grove Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
