Heidi C. Prochnow, age 54 years, of Madison was called home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2026, from an apparent heart attack.

Heidi was born on February 23, 1972, in Brookfield. She was adopted by and raised by Joal and Elke Prochnow (nee Jansen).

Heidi graduated from Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson (Class of 1990). She attended Madison Area Technical College and graduated in 1993 with a degree in Marketing. Heidi worked for the UW-Health Optometry Department in Madison as a Coordinator. She loved reading books, planting and tending her flowers, watching and listening to birds, having fun, and cuddling with her feline companion, Jasper. Most of all Heidi enjoyed spending time with her family and making the most of every moment.

Those Heidi leaves behind to cherish her memory include her mother, Elke Prochnow; brother, Edward A. Prochnow; nephew, Edward J. Prochnow “EJ”; uncle, Al (Gabrielle) Prochnow; cousin, Jeff (Starr) Prochnow and their children, Grace, Jackson, Harry, Finnley, and Olivia; cousin, Brian (Sylvia) Prochnow and their children, Hans and Auggie. She is further survived by special family friend, Karola (Jochen) Liebrich; as well as other relatives and friends.

Heidi was preceded in death by her father, Joal Prochnow; grandparents, Edward and Vivian Prochnow (nee Tschetter).

VISITATION: Heidi’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, 1420 Parkview Dr. – Kewaskum, WI 53040.

SERVICE: A Memorial Service in remembrance of Heidi will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at St. Lucas Lutheran Church with Pastor Timothy Henning officiating.
