Gladys E. Boos (Speirs), age 93 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2025 at Samaritan Nursing and Rehab in West Bend surrounded by her loving family.
Gladys was born on April 17, 1932 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Rex and Elsie Speirs (Beagle). She was united in marriage to Merle Wesley Boos on December 4, 1949, in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Gladys was a school librarian and taught many children to read. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and reading. Gladys was involved in Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and PTA. She was a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Church Council at Incarnation Church in Milwaukee, and took many trips to visit and stay connected with her family in Iowa.
Those Gladys leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, Charles Boos, Lois Haase, and James (Elizabeth) Boos; four grandsons, Andrew, Justin, William, and Samuel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; sister, Mabel (Martin) Cernetisch; brother, Wayne Speirs; sister-in-law, Marjorie (Hobert) Fitzgerald; and brother-in-law, Roger (Natalie) Boos.
VISITATION: Gladys’ family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N 7th Ave, West Bend, WI 53095
SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Gladys will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Church with Pastor Jennifer Arnold officiating. A private family entombment service will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
