Frank H. Kutz, 91, of Kewaskum, passed away on June 27, 2025, just 3 days shy of his 92nd birthday, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital in the town of Polk.

Frank was born on June 30, 1933, in the town of Osceola, the son of the late Frank and Lorena (nee Heider) Kutz. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict as a Food Assistant Mess Sergeant. He left for the army on May 27, 1953, until April 24, 1955. On August 20, 1955, he was united in marriage to Paula Kohler at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Frank was a journeyman plumber for Johann Plumbing and Heating for 33 years and later 10 years for Commercial Plumbing. He retired in January 2000 and was a member of the Local Plumbers Union 75. Frank found comfort in reading his bible several times a day. He enjoyed fishing at his lake home at Big Sand Lake in Phelps, Friday fish fries, listening to polka music, playing UNO and Sheepshead and was an avid bowler. He especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending their sporting events and school programs.

Those Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Kathy (Butch) Koenig of Phelps, Karolyn (Bradley) Schmidt, and Nancy (Scott) Zimdars both of West Bend; 7 grandchildren, Julie Schaefer of Tukwila, Washington, Jason and Jacci Koenig of West Bend, Jenny (Danny) Arevalo of Whittier, California, Haley (Joel) Trede of Kewaskum, Alexander and Benjamin Schmidt (Ashley Minesal) of West Bend; step-grandson, Jesse (Karina) Koenig of L’Anse, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Alexanderia Schaefer of Redmond Washington, Jude, Caleb, and Ezra Arevalo of Whittier, California, and Jace and Scarlett Staples of Kewaskum; step great-granddaughter, Akira Koenig of L’Anse, Michigan; a sister, Amanda Lohse of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Joan Dettmann of West Bend; brother-in-law, Paul (Ruth) Kohler of West Bend; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Paula; his stepfathers, Henry Dettmann and Herbert Ramel; brother, Wilbert (Mary Ann) Kutz and half-brother, Sylvester (Bernadette) Dettmann; sisters, Adeline (Harold) Bath, Irene (Sylvester) Lauters, and Lillian Kutz and step sister-in-law, LaVern (Quincy) Bratz, and sister-in-law Shirley (Allen) Dreher.

VISITATION: Frank’s family will greet relatives and friends at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1417 Parkview Drive, in Kewaskum, on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

SERVICE: A service for Frank will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lucas Lutheran Church on Monday, July 7th. Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate and burial with military honors will follow at Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Rev. Timothy Henning for all his home visits, the staff at Froedtert West Bend Hospital, and Deb Theisen for her homemade breads she delivered.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucas Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.
