Elaine C. House (nee Griesbach), 95, of Fredonia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

She was born on March 7, 1926, to the late Herman and Alma (nee Levsen) Griesbach in Sheboygan. Elaine graduated from Girls’ Trade & Technical High School in 1943. She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank for over 30 years. Elaine was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #2260, Oconomowoc, WI. She liked crocheting, knitting, reading, and word searches. Elaine especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Those Elaine leaves behind to cherish her memory include: her daughter, Carol Chase; two grandchildren, Melissa and Jessica Chase; niece, Patricia (David) Hallam; nephew, Jeffrey (Lorna LaVerne) Groska; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and in-laws, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene House; sister, Dorothea (Albert) Groska; and son-in-law, Norman “Bud” Chase.

A funeral service in remembrance of Elaine will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capital Dr., Brookfield, in the Chapel of the Chimes.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
