DuWane “Butch” H.A. Diels, age 83 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Butch was born on September 14, 1942, in West Bend to Floyd and Marjorie Diels (Schubert). He was united in marriage to Janet Anne Neuy on June 15, 1963, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Butch graduated from West Bend High School in 1960. He started working at Mercury Marine immediately after high school, and was there his entire career, retiring in 2005. Butch was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was lifelong Green Bay Packer fan! Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those Butch leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Janet; three children, Michelle (Mike) Klahn of Florida, Brenda (David) Bailey of Australia, and Scott Diels of Florida; five grandchildren, Cody (Angel) Brodzeller, Brittany Brodzeller, Kylie (Alex) Bailey, Colton Bailey, and Ryan Diels; six great-grandchildren, Stryker, Klaus, Avery, Ava, Easton, and Henley. He is further survived by sister-in-law, Gloria Hoefert; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd (Mary) Diels, Jr; sister, Shelby (Gene) Koenig; and brother-in-law, David Hoefert.

Private family services will be held in the summer.
