Dorothy J. Muehlius (nee Gasper), 95, of Lomira, passed away on Friday April 6, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
She was born on September 30, 1922, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of the late Herman and Emma Gasper (nee Thuermer). She graduated from Goodrich High School, and on May 19, 1945, she was united in marriage to the late Lester Muehlius at Salem Methodist Church in Lomira.
The couple farmed in the town of Lomira and they were members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira,
They enjoyed traveling, going to Packer games, and family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Those Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Katherine (Lyle) Davies of Eldorado and Patricia (John) Freund of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Davies, Kimberly (Dustin) Davies-Robinet, Sarah (Josh) Danor, Ashley Freund (special friend, Eric) and Matthew Freund; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Emily and Evelyn Davies, Liliana and Bennett Robinet, Dylan and Blake Bresser, Wyatt and Miles Danor ; a sister-in-law, Elaine Muehlius of Lomira; five special nieces, Sue O’Connor, Sally Muehlius, Mary Muehlius, Margaret Muehlius and Tricia Newlands, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 64 years, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Sutliff, her brother, Harry Gasper, and her brother-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Muehlius.
Per Dorothy’s wishes, a private family service was held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
