Donna Vorpagel (Klein) nee Kreger, age 64 years, of West Bend died on the morning of Friday, June 22, 2018 after her battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Donna was born on March 4, 1954 in Milwaukee to Jack and Florence Kreger (Kaczmarek) who preceded her in death.

On September 9, 2006 she was married to James Vorpagel at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She leaves behind her loving husband Jim; six children and three stepchildren: Cory Klein, David (Melissa) Vorpagel, Casey (Katie) Klein, Bill Vorpagel, Shirene Klein, Jeremy Vorpagel, Kyle Klein, Rhonda Klein and Jake Klein; seven grandchildren: Ethan, Chloe, Alyson, Brady, Stella, Brooklyn and Brandon. She is survived by four siblings: Carol (Daryl) Potter, Jeff (Judy) Kreger, Doug (Lisa) Kreger and Robin (Lisa) Kreger; in-laws Mike (Sue) Vorpagel, Tom Vorpagel, and Grandma Elaine Vorpagel; and many other family and friends.

Donna devoted her life to helping people especially those with disabilities. She invited over 30 foster children into her home for several decades and thought of all of them as her own children.

A Memorial Service for Donna will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (809 S 6th Avenue – West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor David Kellerman presiding.

Donna’s family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
