David J. “Dave” Carey, 72, of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Hartford Hospital, with his family at his side.

David was born on December 27, 1945, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Richard and Irene (Kwiatkoski) Carey. On October 14, 1967, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Schrank at Zion Lutheran Church in Kohlsville.

Dave enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, darts, bowling, and baseball.

Those Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, David Jr. (Chairiti) Carey of West Bend and Arthur Carey of Kansas; a granddaughter, Andrea (Josh) Salentine; a great-granddaughter, Sophie Bell; a brother, Donny (Kathy) Carey; a sister-in-law, Rose Carey; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Carey and a sister, Doris (Clark) Davis.

A private memorial service will be held for Dave.
