David Mark Guerndt, 73, was called home to be with Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
David was born on November 27, 1952, in West Bend to the late Edward and Audrey (nee Washburn) Guerndt.
David had a gift for making people feel welcome. He was kind, warm, and always ready to make someone smile. His nieces and nephews adored him; he was the fun uncle, the one who could always get a laugh and make any gathering feel like a celebration. Family meant everything to him.
David also had a deep love for the outdoors. Some of his favorite memories were made fishing in Canada with his brothers, Scott and Shawn, and his nephew Ricky. Those quiet days on the water were ones he truly cherished. Closer to home, he loved exploring the Kettle Moraine Forest, where he would search for wild mushrooms and soak in the forest's peace and beauty. Being outside gave David a sense of calm and joy that stayed with him.
Those left to cherish David’s memory include his siblings, Karen (Lawrence) Baumgartner, Shirley (Michael) Wigman, Michael (Judy) Guerndt, Scott (Kathy) Guerndt, and Shawn (Karla) Guerndt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis (Leeann) Guerndt.
