Obituary

Darrel E. Nonhof, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Darrel was born on June 28,1935 in Prairie View, Kansas to the late Henry and Tracey Nonhof (nee Drent). He married Judith Ebeling in Green Bay in 1957. Darrel band director for over 35 years, including Silverbrook Middle School West Bend and Random Lake. He was a member of River City Irregulars Band, River City Blaskapella, Wisconsin Band Masters, Peace Church Choir and Men’s choir. He was a graduate of Lakeland College and Vandercook College of Music.

He was an avid volunteer for Interfaith Caregivers for many years.

Those left to cherish Darrel’s memory include his wife, Judith; children, Jeffrey (Karen) Nonhof of Minneapolis; children, Grant (Sophie) and Sean (Megan), Jill (Tom) Kuehn of West Bend; children, Joe (Samantha) and Lindsay, Scott (Tori) of West Bend; children, Erika (Alex) and Danielle (Mike), Paula (Scott) Zettel of Ooltewah, Tennessee; Zachary, Samuel, and Andrew; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin (Cindy) Nonhof; sister-in-law, Marie Nonhof; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Darrel is preceded in death by his brothers, Virgil (Delores) Nonhof and Loren Nonhof; sister, Gloria (Harold) Park.

A Private Service for Darrel has taken place.

In lieu of flowers donations to River City Band, German Band Blas Capelle, Peace UCC Choir, Interfaith Caregivers, West Bend are appreciated.
