Cody Matthew
Brodzeller
August 9, 1989 – April 26, 2026
Cody Matthew Brodzeller entered this world on August 9, 1989, a day his family lovingly deemed the coolest birthday, a fitting title for a soul so vibrant. Born in Wisconsin, Cody grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and the beauty of the north woods. On April 26, 2026, at just 36 years old, Cody was called home to God. His sudden and unexpected departure left a deep and aching void in the hearts of all who loved him, a silence where laughter and light once lived.
Cody graduated from Kewaskum High School in 2007, known to friends as the ever-spirited "Brodzy." His devotion to family ran deep; he treasured every gathering, birthday parties filled with cake and laughter, holidays spent around crowded tables, and Sunday afternoons spent sharing stories. In the tapestry of his youth, Cody was a whirlwind of energy: baseball diamonds echoed with his cheers, football fields bore his determination, ski slopes saw his daring spirit, and the woods rang with the hum of his dirt bike. He was a skilled fisherman and hunter, always eager to share the catch of the day or tales of the one that got away. But his heart was most at peace up north in Conover, Wisconsin, casting lines and sharing stories with Grandpa Diels by the quiet lakeshore. Summer breaks meant dirt-biking across Grandma Harvey’s land in Rome, Wisconsin, alongside his dad, Matthew, and sister, Brittnay, sun-soaked days of dust and laughter. Through it all, his mother remained his steadfast friend, a constant source of support, encouragement, and warmth, her pride in him unwavering.
Cody was celebrated for his generous and compassionate spirit, always willing to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. He reveled in car stereo sound and bass competitions, his music lighting up the Wisconsin night sky and echoing down winding country roads. He took pride in fine-tuning his systems, sharing his passion with fellow enthusiasts, and forging friendships that lasted a lifetime. Poker nights with friends and his younger sister brought laughter and camaraderie to his life, the sound of shuffling cards a familiar comfort. His grandparents, Granny and Gramps Diels, were guiding lights, with Grandpa Diels holding a special place in Cody’s heart, their bond forged through shared adventures and quiet talks under the stars.
As a father, Cody’s greatest pride was his two children, who became the light of his life, their laughter and curiosity fueling his everyday. He loved taking them on outdoor adventures, teaching them to fish and ride, passing down the traditions that shaped his own childhood. Their love inspired him to create Madd Dad, a heartfelt mission to shield women and children affected by crime, and to seek justice for those in need, a legacy of protection and courage. Even as he changed many lives, Cody remained rooted in family. To Aunt Brenda and Uncle Dave, he would always be their beloved "Turtle," a gentle soul with a resilient spirit.
Cody is survived by his girlfriend, Angel Karpinski, his son, Avery Brodzeller, and his daughter, Ava Brodzeller; Father, Matthew (Karen) Brodzeller; Mother, Michelle (Michael) Klahn; Sister, Brittnay Brodzeller; Grandmother, Janet Diels; Uncles, Scotty (His Favorite) Diels, Mark (Gayle) Brodzeller, Gary “Gopher”, Mike, Victor (Corinda), Robert (Lori); Aunts, Brenda (David) Bailey, Auntie-Sharon; Nephews, Stryker Haeuser, Nikleus Haeuser; Many cousins, friends, and follwers of his podcast.
