Obituary

Caroline A. Theusch, 85, of Lomira, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

Caroline was born on October 28, 1940, in Elmore, the daughter of the late Gregor and Margaret (nee Thill) Weis. On February 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to Francis “Frank” Theusch at St. Matthew’s Church in Campbellsport. Caroline found joy in the simple, comforting arts, knitting, crocheting, and filling her home with the smell of something fresh from the oven. Her happiest moments were the ones spent surrounded by her grandchildren. She had a soft spot for a good murder mystery and never missed her church programs on the religious channel. Each night, she whispered prayers for everyone she could possibly remember. Caroline was a storyteller and talked with everyone she met, especially when the grandchildren were listening, though every now and then, her tales wandered into more detail than anyone expected, which only made them more memorable.

Those Caroline leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children, Jeff (Kara) Theusch, Jamie (April) Theusch, Tammy (Tim) Gasper, and Dan (Amanda) Theusch; nine grandchildren, Bobbie Sue Walker, Christopher Theusch, Ashley Theusch, Scott Theusch, Amy (Justin) Pesch, Crystal Tiedt, Vicki Theusch, Brad Theusch, Laci Theusch, Kayla Lahn, Tiffany Kopischke, Sariah (Nick) Dunn, Bethany (Jordan) Norton, Elijah Gasper, and Jonathan Gasper; 21 great grandchildren; her siblings, Norbert (Ruth) Weis, Doris (Willy) Rusch, Alvin (Gloria) Weis, and Florence (Tom) Flood; eight sisters-in-law, Lorraine Beine, Rosemary (Robert) Guth, Elaine (Dennis) Wieberdink, Darlene Walls, Carol Theusch, Elaine Weis, Martha Weis, and Kelly Weis; one brother-in-law, Donald (Dianne) Theusch; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Theusch; her siblings, Evelyn (Cornelius) Beisbier, Eugene Weis, Lester Weis, Richard Weis; sisters-in-law, Carol Jean (Roger) Jacak and Marilyn Theusch; brothers-in-law, Richard Theusch, Robert (Lucille) Theusch, James Theusch, and Walter “Sunny” Theusch.

In honor of Caroline’s wishes, private services will be held.
