Carol Ann Kremer, age 86, formerly of North Byron, WI, was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2026. Carol was surrounded by her family for the week leading up to her passing. Carol, the oldest of six children, was born on March 1st, 1939, to Leslie and Eleanora (Klatt) Schwartz.
Carol, a Lomira native, graduated from Lomira High School in 1957 and afterwards attended cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician at Elaine’s Beauty Salon before marrying Kenneth Kremer in 1961 and shortly after starting a family. She also spent years working at Action Printing and California Canners and Growers before ending her professional career with decades of experience at Quad Graphics.
Carol spent many years volunteering as a girl scout leader, serving on her church council, and participating in her lifelong homemakers group. She was well loved by her neighbors and had a strong community filled with many long friendships. She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in their activities and sports and was always there to help her family. Carol loved to shop and attend craft fairs with her daughters and had a knack for great one-liners. In her later years, she enjoyed getting ice cream cones, drinking diet coke, and going on drives through Lakeside Park. Through her battle with dementia, she never lost her faith or her great sense of humor.
Those Carol leaves behind to cherish her memories include daughters Kelly (Phil) Wheelehan, Susan (Greg) Graf, Mary Boevers, and Stacey (Matt) Traudt. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren: Melissa Lamers (Derek Steinmetz), Nicole (Ryan) Braun, Lindsey (Christopher) Newhauser, Justin (Stephanie) Graf, Spenser (Kelley) Graf, Reily (Abby) Graf, Alexis (Nate Walz) Graf, Alexandria Boevers, Carlee (Andrew) Flatt, Blake Boevers, Nolan Traudt, Bryce Traudt, and Violet Traudt. She was further blessed with 16 great grandchildren. Carol is further survived by her sister Carolyn Lerch, brother Donald Schwartz, sister-in-law Patti Schwartz, brothers-in-law: Larry Kind, Paul Schwefel, and Donald Kremer (Carol Kremer). Carol was also aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Leslie and Eleanora Schwartz, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth J. Kremer, her sisters Helen Kind and Elaine Schwefel, brother Gary Schwartz, sister-in-law Joyce Schwartz, and brother-in-law Keith Lerch.
She was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Hills Terrace Assisted Living in Waukesha, WI for their care and love for Carol in her final years.
