Carol Baier

Carol Baier died September 20, 2025, at Waupun Christian Home. She was born in Fond du Lac, May 22, 1934, the daughter of Marvin and Carolyn Scheffen Pomplin. Carol was a graduate of St Mary’s Springs High School and Moraine Park Technical College. On July 9, 1955, she married Bob Baier and moved to rural Brownsville. Prior to raising a family, she worked for Bell Telephone Company, then later Mercury Marine, retiring in 1990. Carol and Bob remained on the farm until 2021 when they moved to the Charleston House Assisted Living in Beaver Dam. Bob passed away in 2022 and Carol remained at Charleston House until July of this year.

Carol is survived by her children, Cynthia (Lonnie) Boelk of Merrimac, Warren (Chris) Baier of Horicon, William (Jenn) Baier of Beaver Dam. Grandchildren Heidi Boelk, Hether (Sam) Seymour, Karissa (Mitch) Uhlig, Joe (Alli) Baier, Great-Grandchildren Silas and Sadie Seymour, Maverick and Isabella Uhlig. Her brother Richard (Sharon) Pomplin of Rosendale, In-Laws Sally Baier, Susan (John) Benishek, Jerry Baier, God Children Dawn (Kevin) Kolling of North Dakota, and Debbie (Tom) Possin of Montana. She is further survived by Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends who meant very much to her.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her mother and father-in-law Erwin and Georgian Miritz Baier, her infant brother William Pomplin, and her in laws Don Baier and Cookie Baier.

VISITATION: Carol’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 350 Main Street, in Lomira, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

SERVICE: A service for Carol will be held at Noon at the funeral home on Friday. Fr. Mark Jones will officiate and burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Byron.
