Bruce D. MacMillan, 86, of West Bend, passed away on May 30, 2025, with his daughter at his side.
Bruce entered the world on March 23, 1939, embarking on a life rich with adventure and passion. His dedication to service led him to proudly enlist in the U.S. Army, where he often reminisced about the joy of his time stationed in California. Love found him when he married Joanne Klein on September 19, 1970, exchanging vows at Holy Redeemer Church in Milwaukee. A master of his craft, Bruce spent years as a skilled tool and die maker at Milwaukee Electric.
Aviation was more than a fascination—it was an obsession. Whether soaring through the skies in his recreational plane or skillfully maneuvering his large model aircraft with a remote control, Bruce found true exhilaration in flight. His heart, however, was drawn just as strongly to the serenity of the north, where he cherished time at the cottage and cast his fishing line into tranquil waters. But above all his passions, nothing compared to the joy he found in being a grandpa—his greatest and most cherished role.
Those Bruce leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Michele (Tom) Ciracks; his granddaughter, Saylor; a brother, Howard MacMillan; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne.
