Obituary

Beverly Ann Smith (nee Barzdukas), 71, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Beverly was born on May 17, 1954, in Milwaukee to the late Albert and Vivian Barzdukas (née Needham). She later married the love of her life, Willie Felkl, on October 5, 1992, in Las Vegas.

Beverly had a true zest for life and loved spending time traveling—especially soaking up the sunshine and ocean views in the Caribbean. She was happiest near the water, whether relaxing by the pool or enjoying the peaceful beauty of the shoreline. A proud and devoted “cat mom” to Sam and Rory, Beverly also cherished dinners filled with laughter alongside family and friends. Her outgoing personality made her the kind of person who could strike up a conversation anywhere and leave with a new friend.

She enjoyed getting lost in true crime stories and novels, watching her favorite shows like CSI, shopping online for the perfect find, and attending concerts whenever she could. Beverly was also a loyal Wisconsin sports fan through and through—cheering on the Brewers, the Green Bay Packers, and the Wisconsin Badgers with enthusiasm. Above all, she was a loving and supportive wife and a bright presence in the lives of those who knew her. Her warmth, humor, and love of life will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Those left to cherish Beverly’s memory include her husband, Willie Felkl; brother, Bob (Beth); sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Gary); stepdaughter, Nicole (Scott); stepson, Joseph; granddaughters, Lillie Shae and Grace Dannielle; many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her grandmother.
