Barbara B. Rose (nee Kietzer), 77, of Lomira, found peace on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on March 19, 1938 to the late Lester and Bernice (nee Beitz) Kietzer in Fond du Lac, WI. On December 11, 1960 she was united in marriage to Morris Rose at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lomira. In their early years of marriage, Barbara and Morris enjoyed traveling. She stayed at home raising and caring for their children. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lomira. She enjoyed bowling, going fishing at the cottage, playing sheephead, and doing word searches. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Morris; four children, Sarah (Steve) Durocher, Mark (Mona) Rose, Timothy ( Amy Franz) Rose, and Leah (Mike) Fenrick; nine grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Bryce, Kyle, Charles, Morgan, Kayla, Emily, and Rachel; sister, Sharon (Alfred) Kohli; brother, Michael (Laurene) Kietzer; sister-in-law, Jane Kietzer; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Kietzer.
A funeral service in remembrance of Barbara will be held on Wednesday, May 6 th , 2015 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 558 S. Water Street, Lomira. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery to follow service. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 5 th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Kietzer-Miller funeral home, 350 Main Street, Lomira and Wednesday, May 6 th at church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to go to St. John’s Building Fund.
