Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed Death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. Let us remember with Thanksgiving what God has done through his servant Barbara Ann Nicolaus.
Barbara Ann Nicolaus, age 87, of Jackson, WI was called home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2025, at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
The Lord blessed her with the gift of children: Kim (Gary) Lemley and Carrie (Steven) Wagie. She was also blessed with grandchildren Turner (Emma) Wagie and Riley Wagie. She is further survived by sisters, Tani, Kathy and Christine; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barb’s passion was working with the children at Living Word Child Development Center for the past 20 years where she was known as Nanny Barb. Her family is grateful to the staff and students families for their kindness and the joy they brought to her.
Besides her work with the children Barb loved the Brewers. She even stayed up past her bedtime to watch the late West Coast games. But nothing could compare to joy she felt watching her grandsons play on their field of dreams when they were young. She will always be their biggest fan.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, Froedtert Neurosurgery, and Horizon Hospice for their care and compassion.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
