Sharon Marie (Therrien) Gough

March 15, 1943 ~ October 2, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Sharon M. Gough, 74 of Lomira WI, passed away peacefully with her husband and sons by her side on Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI. She was born on March 15, 1943 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Therrien. Raised in Wells, MI and graduated from Escanaba Area High School in 1961.  She married Robert Gough from Pickford, MI, on May 7, 1966. Sharon was well known for her pasties and cinnamon rolls throughout Michigan and Wisconsin.  She was awarded a blue ribbon for her pasties at the Upper Peninsula state fair. She was known to many as Ma’s Pasties. She loved to cook for everyone to put a smile on their face. 

Her other many interests included bowling, rummage sales, playing cards, going to the casino, caring for loved ones and talking to people; everywhere she went she made a new friend and left a lasting impression. She’ll never be forgotten by the people she touched. Sharon also loved to travel and one of her favorite destinations was Florida (also visiting Disney World) and being on the beach with a drink in her hand.

She very much loved her grandchildren, sons and husband.  She wanted to be part of all the special occasions in their lives. 

Those Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert; three sons and their spouse, Troy and Melissa of Brownsville, WI, Eric and Melissa of Willis, MI, and Todd and Laura of Dexter, MI; grandchildren include Casey Jon, Olivia, Quincy, Rebecca, Mallory, and Anne Marie; her lone remaining brother, Duane Therrien resides in Conway, SC; and her favorite aunt, Betty Arnold from Escanaba, MI.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Bob “Floyd”, Dennis, and Marilyn.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, October 21st at Our Savior Lutheran Church located at 2401 N. Lincoln Road in Escanaba, MI, 49829.  The service will be at 1pm est followed by a social at 2pm est.   

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Sharon's family.

Sharon’s family would like to thank the city of Lomira first responders and fire department, and the staff of the St. Agnes hospital for their compassionate care and support.
