Ruth M. Danby

Ruth M. (Krier) (Faupl) Danby, 91, died January 4, 2018, at home.

 

Ruth was born on January 8, 1926, the daughter of Rose (Mayer) and Alois Krier. She was raised in Belgium with her siblings, Doris, Al and Paul. Ruth’s families have enjoyed summers in Random Lake for 75 years. Ruth met her “dream boat” on a blind date and married Stewart Danby at Lake Church. Stewart was a Civil Engineering Instructor at MATC in Milwaukee. After Stewart’s passing, Ruth met “Coach” Tony Faupl in a grief support group and was married at St. Margaret Mary. Tony was the Athletic Director at the Milwaukee Rec. Dept.

 

Ruth graduated from Marquette with a BS as an RN. She was employed as a nurse and instructor at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Ruth was a teacher at Linsmeyer Montessori. She was a nurse supervisor at Silver Spring Nursing Home, School Nurse at Divine Savior Holy Angels, Samuel Morse, Marshall and Mother of Good Counsel and a resident and volunteer at San Camillo Retirement Community.

 

Ruth recently moved to Random Lake and joined Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church where the family had filled the front pew each Sunday during summer mass for many decades. In her spare time Ruth wrote articles for the Random Lake “Sounder” and Sam Camillo’s “Good News”.

 

Ruth’s loved ones include her brothers, Al (Bel) Krier and Paul (Bette) Krier; seven children, Valerie Danby, Pamela (Pamela Ninham) Danby, Nannette (Doyle) Henke, Dr. David (LeAnn) Danby, Mary (John) Eisenbeis, Lauren (Rick) Heller, and Michelle (Mark) Engman; 13 grandchildren, Brian (Erica), Kate (Steve), Kevin, Nicholas, Taylor, Kendall, McKenzie, Ellen, Ben, Simon, Emily, Elizabeth, and Eric; four great grandchildren, Eleanor, Clara, Lucy and Arlo; the Faupls: Mary Hanson, Christine Jones, (the late Marie Pellegrino), Tony Faupl Jr., Jim Faupl and Grace Foley.

 

In addition to her husbands and parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her first child, Mark; and her sister, Doris Nachtrab.

 

Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth will be held at St. Nicholas Chapel, W4270 Highway K, in Dacada on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Todd Budde officiating. Burial Saturday afternoon at Lake Church Cemetery in Belgium.

 

Ruth’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass.
