Patricia Bonnett Obituary

Patricia A. Bonnett (nee Lechner), age 71, of Mayville, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side.

Pat was born on September 4, 1946 to the late George and Laurerda “LaLa” (nee Collien) Lechner.  She was a graduate of Mayville High School and went on to earn her B.A. in Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  While in college, she was a member of the sorority Gamma Phi Beta.  Following her graduation, Pat became a Phy Ed teacher in Oakfield.  On December 28, 1968, Pat was united in marriage to Mike Bonnett at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville.  They later became members of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church also in Mayville.  Pat was very active in her church where she was a member of the altar guild and Dorcas Society and taught Sunday school for a number of years.  She volunteered at St. John’s Lutheran School with her children and was active in the PTL.  Pat was a very devoted mother.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and sewing.

Those Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mike; two daughters, Kristen (Tony) Larremore of Trussville, AL and Heather (John) Warnecke of Jackson;  four grandchildren, Hannah, Arabella, and Tessa Larremore all of Trussville, AL and Brayden Warnecke of Jackson; a sister, Sharon Blank of West Bend; two brothers, George (Barbara) Lechner of Bloomington, IN and Douglas (Rita) Lechner of Ft. Meyers, FL; a sister-in-law, Bonnie (Jeff) Juedes of Hilbert; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister in childhood, Sandra; her parents-in-law, Jelleff and Orabella Bonnett; and a brother-in-law, Michael Blank.

A funeral service in remembrance of Pat will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, at 11:00 am, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church (450 Bridge St. Mayville).  Rev. Bruce Zagel will officiate and burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Mayville.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday, July 24th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Wednesday, July 25th from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Memorials to Church Health Services or to Agnesian Healthcare’s Hospice Hope would be greatly appreciated by the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melanie Anzia and Leah Schreiber as well as to the staff of Agnesian Healthcare’s Hospice Hope for all the wonderful and compassionate care that was given to Pat and her family.
