Pamela "Pam" (Pruess) Richards

Pamela “Pam” Richards, 73, of West Bend, entered eternal life at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Pam was born on January 3, 1944, in Black River Falls, the daughter of the late Eldor and Ethel (Shankey) Pruess. On May 24, 1996, she was united in marriage to Robert Richards. Pam was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She most enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved flower gardening, traveling, volunteering, and walking her dog, Bindy.

Those Pam leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert; five children, Ron Johnson of West Bend, Roxanne (Brad Miedtke) Johnson of Hartford, Brenda Karimi, Beth Richards, and Jon Richards all of West Bend; four grandchildren, Tyler, Erin, Hanna, and Noah; a sister, Renee (Bob) Schilling of Adams; a brother, Gary (Sandy) Pruess of North Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Jeff Pruess.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Pam will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Avenue, in West Bend. Father Ryan Pruess (her nephew) is officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Pam’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Pam’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the Kraemer Cancer Center and Horizon Hospice for their care provided to Pam. They would also like to thank all of the numerous family, friends, and neighbors for the outpouring of love and kindness.
