Michael "Mike" Wagner

Michael James “Mike” Wagner, age 76 years, of West Bend was called home unexpectedly to be with the Lord on December 31, 2019 at his residence.

Mike was born on June 12, 1943 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Aileen Wagner  (Cooper).  He was united in marriage to Colleen Butch on August 29, 1987 at River Bend Park in Horicon.

Mike graduated from Brown Deer High School and attended Waukesha County Technical College.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 2 years.  Mike was an avid Packer fan (and critic) and a Brewers fan.  He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, working in his yard, and playing basketball with his kids. 

Those Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Colleen; children, Jody Wagner, Jason (CeCe) Wagner, Heather (Jake) Schmidt, Justin Wagner and Aidan Wagner; grandchildren, Ryan, Kailynn, Kylie, Alexa, Jacob, Zachary, Brandon, Ashley, and Brielle; brother, Jon Wagner; and sister, Kristi Wagner.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.  

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Birk.

Memorial Mass for Mike will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8th Ave  – West Bend, WI  53095) with Father Pat Heppe officiating. 

Mike’s family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Thursday from 3 pm until the time of Mass.
