Welcome to the memorial page for

Lynda Marie DuCharme

March 23, 1948 ~ September 11, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Lynda M. DuCharme, 69, of West Bend entered Eternal Life on Monday, September 11, 2017. Lynda was born in on March 23, 1948 in Iowa, the daughter of the late Roger and Therese (nee Urban) DuCharme. She moved to West Bend with her family when she was 8. After high school graduation she worked as a secretary in various departments at West Bend Company but enjoyed her years as secretary in the Test Kitchen the most. She worked at Amity Leather for over 30 years, including as a sewer, lead person, and product picker. Lynda loved her pets and everyone else’s pets too; they all became “her” pets. She enjoyed: a variety of music and loved to dance; attending plays with friends, including Melody Top musicals in Milwaukee; reading; traveling; and mostly spending time with family and friends. When she was with nieces and nephews, she was “one of the kids.” An avid pool player, she shot pool on leagues for many years. Lynda was very kind, caring, generous and fun; she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Those Lynda leaves behind to cherish memories of her include seven siblings, Ronald (Marita) DuCharme of West Bend, Suzy (Michael) Rudolf of South Milwaukee, Rosy DuCharme of West Bend, Marilyn (Rick) Learned of Phoenix, AZ, Randi Hoffmann of Fond du Lac, Terri (Jerry) Lemke of Campbellsport, and Mark (Christine Steuer) DuCharme of West Bend; seven nieces and nephews, Steve (Crystal) DuCharme, Jessi (Dan) Fouks, Kelly DuCharme, Jennifer Learned, Sarah Learned, Wayne Hoffmann Jr., and Nikki (Steve) Hoerth; seven great-nieces and nephews, Tylar Fischer, Tanner, Devin, & Preston Hoffmann, Hailey & Katie Fouks, and Theresa DuCharme; and great-great-nephew, Jaxxon.  She is further survived by her aunt, Leona Urban; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her niece, Angie Cowling; and special friend, Bonnie Opsal.

A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Lynda will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 1610 Monroe St., West Bend. Lynda’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will immediately follow Mass at Washington County Memorial Park.
