Kristyn M. (Phillips) Adams

Kristyn M. Adams (née Phillips), 55, of West Bend passed away peacefully in the evening on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

She was born on September 25, 1964 to James and Shirley (née Dattilo) Phillips in Park Ridge, Illinois. After studying theater at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, she moved to New York to continue her studies at the National Shakespeare Conservatory. This love for theater led her to work a variety of jobs in the movie and television industry, including production assistant, set decoration, and working at a movie prop warehouse. After 9/11, she returned to West Bend where she was united in marriage to William Adams on September 3, 2005. She expanded her creative outlet with freelance writing and photography for the West Bend Daily News for a little over a decade. Her success with journalism inspired her to start her own business where she could use her combined skills of writing, photography, and video editing to promote local businesses and organizations. When she wasn’t working, she loved ballet dancing, painting, and gardening. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Kristyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, William Adams; her daughter, Rachael Phillips; her mother; four siblings; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father and two siblings.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
