June D. Sarnowski, 92, of Kewaskum, formerly of the town of Scott, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.
June was born on August 22, 1924, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Andrew and Estelle (Rutowski) Jagielski. On February 5, 1944, she was united in marriage to Leonard L. Sarnowski at Blessed Sacraments Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Leonard preceded June in death on May 20, 2000.
Those June leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Leonard A. (Deb) Sarnowski of Florida, Melvin (Brenda) Sarnowski of Nebraska, and Donna (Jim) Brown of Germantown; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Fran Sarnowski and Carol Sarnowski; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, June was preceded in death by two children, Joyce McSweeney and Patricia (Darve) Jason.
A Mass of Christian Burial for June will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, at St. Matthias Catholic Chapel, N1044 Highway S, in New Fane. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
June’s family will greet relatives and friends at the chapel on Friday from Noon until the time of Mass.
