Janice J. Hamilton Obituary

Janice Jean Hamilton passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018 after a life rooted in grace and epitomized by kindness.  She was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, the only child of Eugene and Clara Cooper. With a beauty that captivated and a gentle sense of humor and will, Jean was a kind of friend whose loyalty was steadfast and whose heart was open to the best in each person privileged to know her.

An accomplished professional, Jean graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and served as a PA at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s Norris Health Center.  After her retirement she and her husband, Bob Schrader, enjoyed the beauty of their country home nestled near the Kettle Moraine, time spent with friends, particularly those from Peace United Church of Christ, as well as the pleasures of traveling throughout the United States and overseas.

Jean was the proud and loving mother of Brett Hamilton and Tara Sabatinos, a kind and supportive stepmother and grandmother.  Most especially, she was a loving and devoted wife to Bob with whom she shared 33 years of laughter and love.

Jean was preceded in death by Eugene and Clara Cooper and by her stepmother, Gladys Cooper, by her first husband and forever friend, Larry Hamilton, by her beloved son Brett, by her other friends and family whose lives were made better because of Jean’s gentle presence.

Jean is survived by her husband, Bob Schrader, by her daughter, Tara Sabatinos, by her stepchildren and the grandchildren.  Friends are invited to gather to remember Jean on Thursday, November 1, at Peace Church in Kewaskum with private services at 4 p.m. with Pastor Erik Kirkegaard officiating.
