Welcome to the memorial page for

George Alexander McEathron

June 14, 1934 ~ April 7, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old

George A. McEathron, 82, of Jackson, entered eternal life on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa.

He was born on June 14, 1934, in Mayville, the son of the late Raymond McEathron and Donica Glennon and on June 5, 1955, was united in marriage to Marlene Roll at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Mayville.

George worked as a diesel field service technician for Cummins Diesel of Wisconsin.   He traveled across the United States and world working on Cummins generators and motors.  After 47 years George retired and opened his own service shop for another 10 years.

George enjoyed boating, water skiing, being outdoors, hunting out west and traveling with Marlene.  He also loved to ride his motorcycle and even took several trips to Bellingham Washington.  George’s latest passion was drawing memories from his past that he could give to his family.   His greatest joys came from spending time with people, especially his family.  George will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Those George leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 61 years, Marlene; four children, Mark (Mary) McEathron of Anacortes, WA, Susan (Michael) Faber of West Bend, Brian (Karen) McEathron of Oconomowoc, and William (Megan) McEathron of Singapore; 11 grandchildren, Caitlin (Rory) Bruno, Grant (Natalie) McEathron, Miles (Aimee) McEathron, Erik (Jennifer) Faber, Angela (Eric) Butler, Justin (Elizabeth) McEathron, Kyle McEathron, Kayla McEathron, Carter McEathron, Paige McEathron, and Bianca McEathron; six great-grandchildren, Gianna, Emma, Dante, Ethan, Presley, and Wyatt; a brother, Gene (Vivian) McEathron of Front Royal, VA; a step-brother, Martin (Christine) McEathron of Muskego, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a step-sister, Mary Glennon.

A funeral service for George will be held at Noon on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Shepherd of The Hills, 1350 WI-175 in Hubertus.  Rev. Matt Shields will officiate and burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

The McEathron family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shepherd of The Hills Building Fund are appreciated.

The family would like to thank the Lord Our Savior for instilling them with strength, courage, and peace during this difficult time.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with George’s arrangements.  Additional information and online guestbook may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
