Welcome to the memorial page for

Eleanor Clara Ostrander

February 1, 1932 ~ November 14, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Eleanor C. Ostrander, 85, of Kewaskum, found peace in Jesus on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and was reunited with her husband Leslie in heaven.

She was born on February 1, 1932, to the late August and Emma (nee Klumb) Seefeldt.  Eleanor was united in marriage to the late Leslie Ostrander at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum on August 6, 1955.

Eleanor was employed at Regal Ware before she became a wonderful stay at home Christian mother.  She and Leslie worked very hard growing three big gardens, which she canned and froze the produce for her family.  Along with all her wonderful delicious food she would also bake.  Her homemade bread she made will also be remembered along with the butter horns she made on special occasions.

Eleanor and Leslie also would cut wood together to keep the house warm in winter.  They both enjoyed fishing and watching the birds together.  The last couple years Eleanor had a red squirrel that entertained her.

Those Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memory include five children, Nancy Nehrbass of Campbellsport, Susan (Keith) Polster of Theresa, Janet (William) Zingsheim of West Bend, Karen (Dave) Jungmann of West Bend, and William (Tracy) Ostrander of Campbellsport; eight grandchildren, Jessica and Tim Howell, Matthew, Jason, and Zachary Polster, Michelle and Michael Zingsheim, and William E. Ostrander; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen (Lucille) Seefeldt of Ocala, FL and William (Irene) Seefeldt of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Iris Seefeldt of New Fane; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Nehrbass; two grandsons, Gregory Howell Jr. and Joshua Polster; two brothers, Harold and Merlin (Judy & Gladys) Seefeldt; a sister-in-law, La Donna Seefeldt, and two brothers-in-law, Lyle (Hilda) Ostrander and Alvah (Ruby) Ostrander.

A funeral service for Eleanor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum with Rev. James Hoogervorst officiating.  A private family burial will take place at a later date.

The Ostrander family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice, or the Albrecht Free Clinic would be greatly appreciated.

The Ostrander family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice especially nurses Eunice, Erin, Heather, and Julie, as well as Dr. Sammis for the compassionate care they provided to Eleanor.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Eleanor’s arrangements.  Additional information and guest book may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
