Donna J. Scarpace, 87, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Ivy Manor, surrounded by her family.
Donna was born on January 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mae (McComb) Portice. On November 28, 1953, she was united in marriage to Philip J. Scarpace in Milwaukee. Philip preceded Donna in death on March 22, 1998.
Those Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory include six children, Donald Scarpace of West Bend, Philip (Scheketha “Sam”) Scarpace of Campbellsport, Peter (Debbie) Scarpace of Sussex, Donna Scarpace of Appleton, Peggy (Daniel) Peschke of West Bend, and Patricia (Jeffrey) Giesfeldt of Chaska, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Ward of Port Washington; a brother, George (Janice) Portice of Twining, Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Beverly Portice of Township of Chesterfield, Michigan, Joyce Krueger of West Bend and Jean Schramm of Fox Point; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Scarpace; and infant son, Paul D. Scarpace; and infant great grandson, Brahm Scarpace and a brother, John Portice; other loved brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Donna will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend. Pastor Rick Boon will officiate and burial will take place at a later date at Skanee Cemetery in Michigan.
Donna’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association areappreciated.
The Scarpace family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers at Ivy Manor and Serenity Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Donna. Everyone cared for her as though she was their own mother.
