Carol C. Marier

Carol C. Marier, 83, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger.

Carol was born on May 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter and Irma (Moths) Hetzel. She was united in marriage to William Hamilton. William preceded her in death in 1968. On December 11, 1982, Carol was united in marriage to Ernest Marier in West Bend.

Carol was a graduate of Random Lake High School. She was a homemaker and loved to knit and crochet. Carol enjoyed reading, playing sheepshead, and board games with her family.

Those Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Ernest; four children, Tamela “Tammy” (Lado) Esquivel of Texas, Scott Hamilton of Michigan, Vicky (Robert) Lemler of Michigan, Kip (Kathy) Hamilton of Suamico, and Ellyn (Lyle) Buckley of Montello; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Hetzel and Melvin Hetzel both of California; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and William, Carol was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Andy Westenberger; a great-grandchild, Amelia Grace Delgadillo; a brother, Roman Hetzel; and two sisters, Sylvia Hauch and Leila Anderson.

In honor of Carol’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Washington County Memorial Park.
