Carol M. Walsh

Carol M. Walsh (Maney), of West Bend, formerly of Menomonee Falls, went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2019, her 98th birthday.

Carol was born on October 20, 1921 in Carrington, North Dakota to George and Nora Maney (Thompson).  She was united in marriage to George Thomas Walsh, Sr. on April 26, 1941 at St. Killian’s Catholic Church in Hartford. 

Carol was born in North Dakota and moved with her family to Wisconsin.  There she met the love of her life, George Walsh, Sr.  The were married and had three children, whom they enjoyed watching grow over the years.  Following George’s retirement, the couple enjoyed twenty years living on Wallace Lake.  George passed away in 2000 and at that point Carol moved to Wildwood Highlands in Menomonee Falls to be closer to family.  Later, she moved to the Cottages at Cedar Community then to Sunrise Household at Cedar Community.

Those Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, George “Bud” (Mary Pat) Walsh, Donald (Elaine) Walsh, and Maureen (Len) Lipski; twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by brother, Tom (Sharon) Maney, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Maney; other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, and her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Leonard; one brother, Gerald Maney; and three sisters, Dorothy (Johnny) Hollenstein, Phyllis (Floyd) Wolfe and Betty (Robert) Kurtzheim.

Funeral Service for Carol will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St.  – West Bend, WI  53095) with Chaplain Shawn Walsh officiating. Entombment at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.  Carol’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 am until the time of service.
