Barbara K. (Gorecki) Rank

Barbara K. Rank, (nee Gorecki), 57, of West Bend, passed away Sunday morning, April 1, 2018.  She was able to finally rest peacefully in the comfort of her own home with family surrounding her. 

She was born on February 18, 1961, to Rosalie (nee Yogerst) Gorecki and the late Gordon Gorecki in West Bend.  She attended West Bend East High School in 1977 and was lucky founding love in high school.  On June 12th, 1982 she married Scott Alan Rank at St. Mary Catholic Church in West Bend. 

As an adolescent, she had a job at Puppy Land caring for all the dogs which she loved.  Her first full time job was raising her four beautiful “Gerber” babies.  After that she had several jobs including Daycares, Serigraph, Amity, Mayfield Nursery, Bakery, and the Samaritan Home.  She found her passion in the bakery.  She enjoyed creating different desserts and meals for family and friends.  Not to mention the crafts she would create including the Shark Sacks, Bubble Blankets, Mermaid Sacks, and much more.  In her spare time, she enjoyed, spending time with her husband, children, and many of her close friends.  She loved to bake, play bingo, create things with her grandson, be outside in the garden, planting flowers, and bonfires! 

She was a loving, caring, fun, and creative person.  She will be missed by all that crossed her path.

Those Barb leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Scott; her four children, Marie (Nicholas) Zwolinski, Brett Rank, Devon Rank, and Bridget Rank.  She adored her one grandson, Blake, expecting another grandchild in August, and 4 grand-puppies (Sasha, Junior, Kevlar, and Libby).  She is also survived by her mother, Roslie Gorecki; loving sisters, Marlene (Gary) Kell, Kelly (Robert) Salinas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dennis (Joanne) Rank, Michael (Pam) Rank, Laura (Jon) Clark, Jeanine Smikowski, and Peter (Heather) Rank; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Barb is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Gorecki; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Marlene Rank.

A Celebration of Life for Barb will be held on Saturday, April 7 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at West Bend Lakes Golf Course.  Please come join the family for food and refreshments.
