Arthur J. Peterson

Arthur J. Peterson, 97, of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at House of the Dove Hospice House in Marshfield.

Arthur was born on January 3, 1921, in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of the late Gunnard and Julia (nee Anderson) Peterson. On August 1, 1942, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Williams in Knox, Indiana. Elizabeth preceded Arthur in death on January 26, 1995.

Those Arthur leaves behind to cherish his memory include three children, James (Darlene) Peterson of Eden, Sally (Matthew) Meyer of Phoenix, Arizona, and Susan (Joel) Schneiter of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; an adopted grandson; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane (Forest) Kantner; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Arthur was preceded in death by, a grandson; a great-grandson and eight siblings.

A funeral service for Arthur will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 350 Main Street, in Lomira. Rev. Dr Young Tae Lee will officiate and burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield.

Arthur’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
