I remember Tom for the calming way he spoke to his children offering advice and listening to their concerns. But there is one special quote from his I will never forget: a few years ago when Curt was still with us, we were all gathered at Sharon and Todd's for Thanksgiving. Us "seniors" were all sitting in a line upstairs enjoying visiting with one another as the younger crowd were either chasing their little ones or mingling with each other downstairs and up. For a moment there was a lull in the conversation and Tom looked up and down us seated seniors. Then he said, "It's like we are sitting here in God's waiting room". Well, here we are Tom!

We were so surprised to hear of Toms passing. Our hearts go out to his wife and family. We did taxes with Tom for many years and still go to Jalas tax service. I was always happy when we got to see Tom because he was always so happy and never without a smile. May he rest I peace.

Sorry for your loss. Tom tought me what and how to keep my business books. First time he asked me how i got my "numbers". Explained that my approximate figures were not an accurate way to keep books. Still use the methods he taught me.
