Richard E. "Dick" Stange

Richard E. “Dick” Stange, 72, of Campbellsport, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk, after battling with lymphoma brain cancer.

Dick was born on January 12, 1945, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Carl “Jack” and Irene (Backhaus) Stange. On October 1, 1966, he was united in marriage to Janet Van Vleet at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.

Dick spent his life pouring concrete “Dick’s the name, concrete’s the game”. He enjoyed watching the Packers and going camping. Dick also enjoyed picking and shucking hickory nuts. He also loved his three Samoyed’s.

Those Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Jan; two sons, Kevin (Tami) Stange of Campbellsport and Todd (Val) Stange of Silver Creek; four grandchildren, Traik Stange, Kailr Stange, Jax Stange and Lena Stange; a sister-in-law, Mardell Stange; nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Stange and Ralph (Judy) Stange.

A memorial service for Dick will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 350 S. Helena Street, in Campbellsport with Rev. Paul Cerny officiating.

Dick’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from Noon until the time of service.
