Welcome to the memorial page for

Linda A. Kimmel

August 25, 1947 ~ February 23, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Linda A. Kimmel (nee Piaro), 69, of Theresa, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at home with her children and family at her side.

Linda was born on August 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Robert Piaro and Muriel Mixdorf (Schauer). On June 23, 2000, she was united in marriage to James Kimmel in Iowa.

Linda was a hard worker, good mother, a Christian, and a kind person. She was a “Jackie of all Trades” pursuing many occupations through the years; always providing for her girls.  She had many interests, including fishing, sewing, boating, camping and travel. She shared herself in her service as vice president of the VFW, as a foster parent and as a volunteer house manager for Love Ministries’ Transformed Recovery House. Her strength and determination were admired. She kept a hopeful demeanor throughout her medical challenges, growing deeper in her faith, and loving those around her with hugs, kisses, laughter, frequent smiles, and her bright blue eyes. She will be tremendously missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Those Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, James Kimmel; four daughters, Sandra (Rock) Charlton Reiss of Cudahy, and her two children, Katelyn and CJ; Sheri (Kevin) Krupp of New Holstein, and her daughter, Sami (Chase); Wendy Senger of Theresa, and her two daughters, Clarissa and Josie; Rebecca Schuster of West Bend, and her three children, Kayla (Darien Homuth), Kelly and Kyle; and survived by seven siblings, Robert (Judy) Piaro, Cindy Lidicker, Dawn (Christ) Groh, Debra Krueger, Christine (James) Simon, Todd Mixdorf, and Bryan Mixdorf; and step-father, Dale Mixdorf; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Paula Brackett.

Services for Linda will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the V.F.W. Post 1393, 260 Sand Drive, in West Bend, where friends and family will have an opportunity to share memories and words about Linda. The family will greet relatives and friends at the V.F.W. on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care that Linda received from Cedar Hospice.
