LaVerne V. Moritz, 89, of West Bend, found peace on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Cedar Community, West Bend.

She was born on September 20, 1927 to the late Oscar and Rosalia (nee Ritger) Moritz in the Town of Addison. She grew up on the family farm in Addison. She was employed over 50 years at the West Bend Company, working as an assembler. LaVerne sang in the St. Anthony church choir. She enjoyed embroidering, quilting, and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Those LaVerne leaves behind to cherish her memory include her sister-in-law, Barbara Moritz; nieces and nephew, Sue (Patrick) Wendt, Peter Moritz, Agnes (Eric) Dietenberger, Theresa Meyer, and Laura Moritz; great-niece and nephews, Melissa Wendt, Andrew (AJ) Dietenberger, Joseph Wendt, Zach Dietenberger, and Jacob Meyer; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Marion Moritz; a brother, Lloyd Moritz; a nephew, Scott Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4868 State Road 175, Hartford. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

A special thank you to all the nurses, aides, and staff at Timber Cove unit at Cedar Community.
