Esther Ruth (Kielisch) Lembck

August 29, 1921 ~ September 1, 2015 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Esther R. Lembck (Nee Kielisch), 94, of West Bend, was called home to be with the Lord and her family on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

She was born on August 29, 1921 to the late Oscar and Emmy (nee Klempel) Kielisch in Dortmund, Germany. She moved to the United States at the age of 7, with only one trunk for the whole family. As a young child she attended Immanuel Baptist Church where she would meet her future husband. She graduated from North Division High School. Following high school she worked at Mac Insurance. On September 11, 1943 she was united in marriage to Robert Lembck. When her daughter was born, she raised her and when she was old enough worked nights and weekends at Gimbels, as a floral designer and eventually did exclusive catering. In the 1980’s she became a citizen of the United States. She volunteered at Cedar Community for 34 years and was proud to hold the record of their longest volunteer. Her volunteering led her to move to West Bend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Those Esther leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two grandchildren, Fredric (Karen) Akeson and Courtney (Matthew) Lowe; five great-grandchildren, Harmony, Savannah, Paulina, Carter, and Melia; brother, Herbert (Anna Mae) Kielisch; sister in law, Phylis Kielisch; seven nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband Robert; daughter and son in law, Judy (Dan) Corbell; and brother, Carl Kielisch.

A Funeral service in remembrance of Esther will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend.
