Dorothy Louise (Bailey) Struck

March 2, 1936 ~ April 6, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Dorothy L. Struck, 81, of Fredonia, was called home to heaven on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in West Bend.

She was born on March 2, 1936 in Tomah, the daughter of the late William and Vera (nee Schmosow) Bailey and on September 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Struck at Wesley Methodist Church in Milwaukee.  Jerry preceded her in death on February 17, 2012.

Dorothy was currently a member at Kewaskum House of Prayer and loved her church.  She enjoyed shopping, rummage sales, searching the sales papers for bargains, going out to eat, and word searches.  Dorothy’s greatest joys came from spending time with her family, especially on Christmas Eve.

Those Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, Ronald Struck and Susan (David) Struck of Kewaskum; a mother of her grandchildren, Laurie Struck of Kewaskum; 9 grandchildren, Amber (fiancé Matt) Struck, Megan (fiancé Aaron) Struck, Jamie (Bonnie) Spartz, Joseph (Erin) Stockwell, Mathew (Taylor) Stockwell, Jesse (fiancé Courtney) Stockwell, Jennifer (Mike) Bauer, Nicole (Brian) Butschlick, and Rebecca Struck; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Dave) Corlette of Wauwatosa and Margaret Bradbury of St. Charles, MO; three brothers, John (Aleda) Bailey of New Lisbon, Donald (Doris) Bailey of Sussex, and William Bailey of Tomah; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Bailey of News Lisbon and Regina Bailey of Hales Corners; two brothers-in-law, Bob Sonnenberg and Lawrence Honel of Tulsa, OK, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice (Gaylord) Finnigan, Bernadine Sonnenberg, and Alvera Honel; four brothers, Bernard (Francis) Bailey, Earl Bailey, Arnold Bailey, and Leroy Bailey and a brother-in-law, Robert Bradbury.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Kewaskum House of Prayer, 100 Clinton St., in Kewaskum.  Rev. Joe Brath will officiate and burial will follow at Waubeka Union Cemetery.

The Struck family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The Struck family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to their mother’s friend Donna, for all the help and care she provided.
