Don Joseph Cera Sr. of Mayville, 66 passed away on November 7, 2017. Born and raised in Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Caroline Cera. He is survived by wife of 43 years, Shawn (Warner), Children Shannon and Don Jr, Sisters Darlene (Gus) Rankey and Mary (Jim) Pokrop, Brothers James (Chris) Cera, Larry (Carol) Cera, and Paul (Bonnie) Cera, along with other family and close friends.
Don attended Pius High School and proudly served in the US Army. He is member of OPCMIA LOCAL 599 and spent nearly 40 years as a cement mason. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at the family cabins up along the Chippewa River and walking his dogs in the Horicon Marsh.
A visitation for Don will be held Sunday Nov.12 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at 1:00 pm at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home located at 350 Main Street, Lomira, WI. In lieu of flowers donate to the Friends of the Horicon Marsh.
