Delores E. Ziemer (nee Kleman), 93, of Jackson, passed away on Ash Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Ivy Manor in Jackson with her family at her side.

She was born on January 7, 1923, on the family homestead farm in the Town of Trenton to the late Arthur and Ilma (nee Schubert) Kleman.  On November 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Jasper Ziemer at Trinty Ev.    After graduating high school Delores moved to Milwaukee and worked in a doctor’s office for several years before she got married to Jasper.  After marriage Delores and Jasper farmed together in the town of Jackson while raising their family.  They both retired from farming and moved to Cedar Ridge in West Bend in 1987.

Delores was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in the town of Jackson and was an ELCA Womens Circle member.  She enjoyed quilting, gardening and visiting with her many friends at Cedar Ridge.  Delores’ greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom she was a model grandmother and great-grandmother.

Those Delores leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children, Carol (Ken) Jacobs of Cleveland, Larry (Patricia) Ziemer of Mt. Horeb, Rev. Dale (Beckie) Ziemer of Palatine, IL and Janean (David) Brudvig of Cedarburg; nine grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Jacobs, Kaitlin (Bill) Kim, Cale (Liza) Ziemer, Carrie Donahue, Jason (Maria) Ziemer, Jeremy (Marcia) Ziemer, Dana (Troy Ferguson) Brudvig, Max and Jack Brudvig; 12 great-grandchildren, Owen Jacobs, Jacob and Sophia Kim, Sidney Donahue, Aldo, Cecilia, Greta and Louisa Ziemer, Eartha, Jasper and Persephone Ziemer and Abigail Ziemer; two sisters-in-law, Joan Kleman and Arleen Ziemer both of Cedarburg, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Delores was preceded in death by a daughter, Lenore Ziemer; a brother, Arthur Kleman; two sisters, Eleanor (Marvin) Hempelman and Bernice (Elmer) Budzisz; a brother-in-law, Urban Ziemer and a sister-in-law Jane (Leonard) Ziemer.

Relatives and friends may call at the church from Noon until the time of services.  A luncheon and fellowship will follow the services.
