Welcome to the memorial page for

Clinton "Clint" Edgar Hoff

May 23, 1928 ~ June 18, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Clinton E. “Clint” Hoff, 89, of Brownsville, was called home to be with his Lord on June 18, 2017, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

He was born on May 23, 1928, the son of the late Edgar and Amanda (nee Enderle) Hoff and on June 12, 1954, Clint was united in marriage to Elvera “Blondie” Pfalzgraf at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oakfield.  Blondie preceded Clint in death on March 3, 2003.

Clint served his country in the United States Army from 1951 until 1952 in the 2nd Armored Division Hell on Wheels and remained very close to the guys he served with.  Clint worked at Hoff’s Red Owl in Brownsville for over 20 years and drove truck for Lomira Oil.   He was a long time member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Brownsville and the cemetery sexton for many years.  Clint also played on the St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church Softball team into his 60’s and was inducted into their hall of fame.

In his free time Clint enjoyed airplanes, cars, and old tractors.  He got his private pilot license at 17 years old and was an avid EAA member.  Clint loved to drive and show his 1968 Pontiac Catalina and his 77 Oliver tractor.  His love for old mechanics and his military background even allowed him to drive a WWII era half-track in local parades.

Those Clint leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, Robert (Deborah) Hoff of Jackson, Barbara Hoff of Brownsville, David Hoff of Theresa, and Greg (Elisa Bage-Hoff) Hoff of North Reading, MA; six grandchildren, Tessa (Benjamin) Duyck, Isaiah (Elise) Hoff, Caleb Hoff, Olivia Hoff, Ashley Bage-Hoff and Aaron Bage-Hoff; an expected first great-grandchild in August of 2017; a sister, Aimee Streblow of Mayville; two brothers, Rolland (JoAnne) Hoff of Fond du Lac and Rodney (Jane) Hoff of Mount Lake Terrace, WA; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hoff of Brownsville, and Arlene (Harlan) Fisher of Oakfield; a special friend, Mabel Zasada of Fond du Lac, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Clint was preceded in death by three brothers Donald (Theresa) Hoff, Lenard (Bernice) Hoff, and Wayne Hoff and a brother-in-law, Gerald Streblow.

A Funeral Service for Clint will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Brownsville with Rev. William Carter officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The Hoff family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 350 Main St., in Lomira from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight or St. Paul’s Cemetery Association are appreciated.

The Hoff family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Brownsville Lions, Nursing Staff at St. Agnes and Chuck & Cindy Dineen for all the help they provided.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Clint’s arrangements.  Additional information and guest book may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
