Dorothy L. Kaetterhenry, nee Hartmann, 75, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on December 20, 1936 in Fifield, WI to the late Henry and Lyda (nee Luke) Hartmann. She attended school in Stratford, WI and graduated from Stratford High School in 1954. She worked at Gross Fountain Lunch in Stratford, Marshfield Book and Stationary, and Allington & Van Ryzin’s in Stratford. She married Lorell D. Kaetterhenry on September 3, 1956 in Marshfield, WI. She devoted the following years to raising her kids. Her husband, Lorell, passed away July 8, 1995.

She is survived by 10 children, Barb Kohler, Nancy Kaetterhenry, Penny Ritger, Susan Jane Phelps, Karen Moldenhauer, Wanda Kaetterhenry, Dale Kaetterhenry, Lyle Kaetterhenry, Paul Kaetterhenry, and Matthew Kaetterhenry. She was Grandma Kat to 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Carol Langhoff and Ruth Fredenberg, a brother, David Hartmann, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two infant daughters, a sister, Milly Zaleski, and a grandson, Dustin Dean Kaetterhenry.

A funeral service in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 3500 Beaver Dam Rd., West Bend, WI with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow the service and Dorothy’s cremated remains will be buried in Ebenezer Cemetery in Sexton, WI.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank Kathy Kuester of her “helping hands” and the doctors and nurses in the ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.
