Thomas “Tommy Trucker” Kohn, age 54, of Mayville, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on October 23, 1957 in Appleton to the late Fred and Marie (nee Brietrick) Kohn. After graduating from high school, Tom drove truck for a variety of trucking companies, most recently J.B. Hunt. On October 6, 1979, Tom was united in marriage to Aimee Jo Schnitzler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville.

He is survived by his wife, Aimee Kohn of Mayville; two children, Stacey Jo (special friend, Matthew Hawley) Kohn of Beaver Dam and Nathan “Nate” (special friend, Brianna “Brezzy” Cotteleer) of Davenport FL; two grandchildren, Sierra and Dakota Hawley of Beaver Dam; three brothers, Roger (Janet) Kohn of Mayville, Donny Kohn of Mayville, and Jerry (Pat) Kohn of Mayville; sisters-in-law, Annette “Nettie” (Dave) Bath of Mayville and Arlene (Dennis) Karl of Mayville; best friends, Steve and Diane Eilbes; other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Annie and Martin Schnitzler; and sister-in-law, Angie Thull.

A memorial service in remembrance of Tom will be held on Saturday, June 16th at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 302 S. German St, Mayville, with Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will take place at a later date.
